The scenery really gets interesting a few hours away from Oslo. Here are some views from our drive to Averoy where I took a glass class at GlasForum. There are 2 national parks in this area, but I do not know if these views are in either of them. There will be a later post with pictures from our trip to the national parks.
The picture below is from the island of Averoy and I am looking out at the Atlantic ocean. Quite beautiful, but I didn't see anyone swimming there!
The road on Averoy that goes along the Atlantic Ocean (I believe it is called the Atlantic Road) is quite famous and there are a series of spectacular bridges linking a number of the little islands along the way. Most of them have a curve like this which helps to protect them from the winds and storms.
